To the rescue

Been using Turbo tax for over twenty years & never had a reason to try anything else. My taxes are relatively simple but when I have small complications, moving expenses, sale of property, walk through, with links to IRS publications, helped expedite confident filing.

The import of brokerage account information works very well. I think the fee for electronically filing a state return is too high. Therefore, I mailed my state return. I noticed that the mailing address listed on your instruction letter for the MS return was incorrect. It did not match either of the two addresses in the MS instructions or on the MS form.
What's great about it: Brokerage Statement Import
What's not so great: High fee for e-filing state return; incorrect address for mailing MS return.

I really enjoyed the use of this product from install to file. I have never done my own taxes and after using this software, I don't know why I was so afraid for so long. Having various forms of income made me nervous, but Turbo Tax walked through every piece of paper I had in my hands for income and expenses. At the end of my filing, I had an input pile and waiting input file...when complete, I had nothing waiting and saw my results on the return along the way. It even allowed me to look at scenarios and click back and forth along the way. Great tool.
What's great about it: Easy and Thorough
What's not so great: None to mention, never confused

lost my efile

also i did not know i efile 14 october and do not find out until 16 october that my return is accepted - what then i am late now i have to mail it anyway
what a piece of junk
What's not so great: took the WRONG email from somewhere deep inside the file where i cannot change it and used that as efile tracking email

Great Product!

I have used TurboTax for numerous years now and I find the lead in questions to completing the return make filing even my larger and sometimes more complex return easy to get through with only minimal research required outside of the use of TurboTax. Thank you for a great product!
What's great about it: Ease of use!
What's not so great: Not much to not like! Issues relating to Inherited IRA's could be expanded.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Cannot efile the federal return again

Almost every year I have issues with efiling the federal return because of updates to the software. Even though I attempt to retrieve the updates, the program does not update and I have to print out my return and file it.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Regularly have problems with updates and efiling
