Failed to transmit for months

TurboTax did not transmit for months. Attempted to file in May but couldn't file until September. Will never use Turbo Tax ever again. I've used it for 10 years. No more.
What's great about it: none
What's not so great: had to file an extension

Excellent Product-Simple to Use!

Get all your tax paperwork together before you begin to use the program. It will be easier to complete. I save a file to my computer but also print a copy to keep with all my paperwork in case my computer goes down. All in all, the software was simple to use and walked me through each deduction. I just entered the amounts and dates.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walks you through each item for your return and explains each line item.
What's not so great: No cons really, taxes are not fun.

Security PIN

Love this product and have used it for years. Since having identity theft, need to use security PIN. Turbo Tax doesn't give an option to enter PIN, therefore unable to file electronically.
What's great about it: Simple to use
What's not so great: No entry for security PIN, can't use e-file

complete disposition of mlp

Correct the program so it processes correctly a complete disposition of an MLP. Must fill that in K-1 interview for various purposes but it inserts an entry in Form 8949 Box C (transaction not reported to IRS). However, broker includes MLP sales on 1099-B Box B (transaction reported but not basis). Thus, there are 2 entries on Form 8949 for the same transaction but neither can be deleted without causing other problems, Suggestion: add box to K-1 interview so one can choose not to have complete disposition transferred from K-1 to 8949. That would solve the problem.

Changes to return after Review

I love the incorporation of last year's taxes so I can remember what I did last year. I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and would not use any other program. Also, filing for an extension was very easy as this was the first time I have used it. The Investment section could be easier and they need to incorporate the Cost Basis - this is the IRS. Luckily, I have a smart broker who sends me a sheet to include the Cost Basis. The purchase date and sell date should tell if the gain/loss is short term or long term. Overall, Turbo Tax is the best.
What's great about it: I liked the automatic fill out of forms (K-1) on my return.
What's not so great: I noticed 3 mistakes on my return and had a horrible time trying to correct them even though I used the Edit listed.

Awesome!!!, A+++, 5*****, easy, detailed and simple to use and understand. I have used TurboTax Intuit for approx. 25 years.
What's great about it: Easy and detail, A+++
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1. The interface between step-by-step and Form 1116 (foreign tax credit), where there are multiple categories, is still clunky and difficult.
2. The new section 1411 investment income tax form should automatically differentiate between Schedule E partnership income that's investment income and partnership income that's active business income, or should alert people that they need to make that adjustment.

Turbo tax is very user friendly. I've used it for over ten years now.
