Wonderful Program

Translations popped up immediately after input which saved a great deal of time in not having to search. Found one error after submission (my ommission) but do not think the IRS will have a problem with it - easy to correct it they do. I found the 2013 program to be the best one yet. Thanks for continuously refining Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: The program almost has ESP.
What's not so great: Found one error after submission.

Good and helpful but had two issues.

#1: No where to report a 1099-S for the real estate sale of property that is not my home. This was for a timeshare. Got stuck on being forced to use 1099-B which is not the same thing. Had a loss on it anyway so I did not report it because TurboTax would not let me.
#2: Surprised by the error on Form 1116, Line 10 which asked for an explanation of a Foreign tax carryover. No clue or explanation form Turbo Tax as to what to do. Just entered some clumsy statement about last year. Hope it passes inspection!
What's great about it: The step-by-step walk through is good.
What's not so great: Confused by where to report 1099-S for real estate not my home and Form 1116 Line 10 was not explained.

Was very easy to go along, very simple but forgiving
What's great about it: helped my silly typing
What's not so great: Had silly additional steps
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 Return

I had to file for an extension. TurboTax was fairly easy at getting this done as well as filing the taxes later. I will be using it again next year!

Mostly good; poor Mac interface

Mac interface is bad: Doesn't remember open windows. Can't resize windows. etc.
What's great about it: Handles complex retruns. Allows entering data in any order.
What's not so great: Miserable interface on Mac. Finding calculated values & info.

I really like turbo tax, years ago had to fill out many sheets, to do by hand.....much quicker and correct.

Been doing my own taxes with TurboTax for years, it's so easy to use. Finally convinced my dad to use it this year. Boy, was he surprised at how fast his refund showed up in his account!
What's great about it: Love that info imports from year to year. Easy to find answers to questions.
What's not so great: Some info from previous years, was missing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
