Big Help on the State Taxes

I haven't used the state version before and it was very helpful to have the automatic conversion and transfer of information from Federal to State.
What's great about it: Helped me accurately account for multi-state income
What's not so great: fairly intutitive but could use more of the previous year's data pre-populated

Tabular data is inconvenient

For the most part Turbo Tax does a great job. My main gripe is when there is tabular data to enter such as a bunch of dividend reports, a bunch of foreign accounts to declare, etc. In that case I would much rather have an excel-like view where I can view and edit all the information from one place. For declaring foreign accounts the process is particularly error prone and tedious the way things currently are.
What's great about it: Common situations are really easy
What's not so great: International stuff is significantly less polished
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Pretty good. Seems there's always a hang up though each year. Not too bad this year.
What's great about it: fairly easy to use
What's not so great: wouldn't download state files. Had to mess with ti to get it to do it.

THOSE OF US WHO HAVE DETERIORATING EYESIGHT HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH THE LIGHT BLUE NOTATIONS AND ACTION BUTTONS. PLEASE PICK A COLOR WITH MORE CONTRAST.

Customer Service rocks

I was having some problems with the Freedom Edition finishing up my return after it I had made it to the end and it was time to file. That in itself was frustrating, however, after calling support, the service provided to me was so very helpful and customer satisfaction oriented that it was a completely positive experience. Thank you for putting customer service so high on the list.
What's great about it: Friendly, Helpful, and Professional Service
What's not so great: Having to call in the first place

I did my daughters taxes along with my own I thought I was to receive 1 free filing for California state and had to pay for both what's up with that ? Also you need to make it easier to transfer the prior years taxes I had to go from scratch, what a long process!

Like Butter on a Hot Knife

This is my second time using TurboTax. The first time, was many years ago and I was quite nervous and didn't enjoy the process. It took me over 10 hours! Today, it took me less than half that time, and I really felt as though I had nothing to be concerned about. The questions were easy to understand and very thorough. I also learned some things - like, this year, when I make item donations, I should itemize them for myself for a more accurate accounting on next years taxes.
I did it myself, AND I have peace of mind!
What's great about it: The whole process was in standard English

Very good and thorough software. But there's one problem that has repeated itself year after year. Many entries do not stick. I return to them, and the answer has either changed or is gone entirely. I've reported this problem before but it never gets fixed. Maybe this year it'll get fixed.
