Awesome way to go!

I plan to utilize this software every year. Truly has made filing my income tax easier, less stressful, and giving me knowledge on things that I would have never known.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, step by step with great explanations, and quick...

I started using Turbo Tax a few years ago. I do like that this is an inexpensive option to maneuver the tax world. I would like it to have more directions for example of what the software is asking for or where to find what they are asking for. For some reason the state taxes trip me up every time. Last year I was sent a notice from the Arizona Department of Revenue with a TAX correction notice. I don't know if I made the same mistake again but there was another supposed error with the Arizona tax form that I attempted to correct, however I have no idea what they were asking for so I do not know if I did it correctly. Overall I tend to have a little anxiety when I finish up with Turbo Tax, the "I hope everything was done correctly feeling."
What's great about it: Fast to complete
What's not so great: Needs more assistance for the TAX system Naive

Best Tax Preparation Software

I have been using TurboTax for decades. I have tried other products but have always returned to TurboTax. It is the fastest, error-free tool on the market. The few times that we have taken our returns to accountants to review, they did not find any errors or a better refund.
What's great about it: Easy to use on even the most complicated tax return
What's not so great: State tax forms are too expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I have been using turbo tax since 1992 after a bad experience with a tax preparer that I won't mention. I have yet to have a problem that was not solved! As long as turbo tax is available, I definitely will be using it.

incomplete instructions to complete

I pushed sent my taxes by electronic filing but it didn't go through and I just refiled at a later date today. I didn't get a message that the taxes didn't file so I could find the problem. What does? I have been waiting for months for the refund!!!

Multiple Returns

TurboTax is easily used and provides the ability to do multiple Federal returns with one purchase. It also adds state tax returns very seamlessly. It is very thorough and especially helpful at incorporating K-1 information. Areas previously covered in the process of completing the returns are easily revisited and updated later with the option to visit specific topics and to then use the edit function. This program is now quicker to get through the e-filing process than it was previously and is much friendlier to the user in reducing the work of checking on the status of the filings.
What's great about it: Allows multiple returns to be created and filed.
What's not so great: Difficult to find out how to get product support on the phone.
