TurboTax continues to improve its software. However, I wish there were a means of jumping to another area of the program by either clicking to go back to the main menu or skipping to the next subject area. Evan when I choose to input my own numbers,or I am reviewing input, it seems I have to negotiate a number of questions before I can return to the main menu and get on with my taxes.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use
What's not so great: My wish for a more straightforward means of moving between areas

I have been using TurboTax since 1990.
This has been the most useful tax prep software ever ...and it keeps getting better every year!!
I really like the Error Check function and the Audit function is great!!

Suggestion:
With all the fluctuations in value of homes and property, can you develop a Turbo Tax function that allows a user to re-evaluate the price of their homes to account for major repairs and upgrades? This way, if a person buys a home and puts in a new foundation or adds rooms / bathrooms or an in-Law unit, these changes will be reflected in the value of the home? Therefore, if the home was purchased at $300K and sold for $900K, the person would not be able to take full advantage of the $250 IRS exemption because the additions / improvements are not noted. By using turbo tax to document the homes improvements, a home owner can keep timely records of the home' s value.

Easy to use

More helpful than a real accountant. You can really take the time to go over every detail and get answers to as many questions.
You get so much more than the TurboTax software that came in a box - supporting resources such as DeductIt, Mint, and TurboTax Help all add value to the software.

Disappointed

I had to extend the filing of the return for 2013 due to an inaccurate 1099. I prepared the return as it should have read and file the extension. Accounting firm I hired to write a letter with the return used my input from my Turbo Tax. The taxable amout due was different on turbo tax than the accounting firm,
I went to the IRS website to find the correct tax due and the accounting firm was correct. Really disappointed. Be happy to show the results to anyone that might be interested.Canton MI

Gets Better Every Year

I hope this is my last year to file a Schedule K-1, as complicated as the one I have received for the last several years. With each year, Turbo Tax improves it's functionality in this Schedule, and I get through it easier with each filing. Thank you for the effort in this Income section, I appreciated it. I sold the stock I owned, that generated this Schedule K-1, because this K-1 is a nightmare. Hopefully, I can get back to being a 'normal' Turbo Tax user now!
What's great about it: Help with Schedule K1 has improved
What's not so great: Fewer every time, that I cannot come up with any

Its Okay

Turbo tax does what it is supposed to do. Calculate your taxes. It keeps track year to year which is helpful. Greatly speeds tax preparation.
The constant sales pitch throughout the program is a tremendous turn off. Failure to include the state return efile in this version meant the Taxcut would have been a better deal and will likely be what I use next year.
What's great about it: Appeared to correctly calculate taxes. Keeps track year to year.
What's not so great: Nagging by program to buy more. Lack of state efile
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

2014 Review

I mistyped my SS number and my filing was rejected. The quick email so informing me and a second filing, still at no additional cost, was a feature I appreciated very much.
What's great about it: Guided tour is complete and picked up things I had forgotten
What's not so great: None
