State Return Filing is Overpriced!

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years. My only gripe is that the cost to file State Tax is unacceptably high. There are alternative products and maybe it is time to look into them.
What's great about it: Interview and walk-thru is simple.
What's not so great: The cost of filing State returns is WAAAAY overpriced.

clumsy error correction

an 1120s form came up for additional info. do not have 1120s. couldn't by pass request for additional info so that return could be filed. finally had to go to forms list and delete so electronic filing could complete. total pain in the A.

Consistent, Reliable Performance

Great tool for a DIY guy with just enough knowledge to get in trouble! I am now retired and my finances can get a little complicated, but I still feel confident TurboTax can do the job, usually without the need for a CPA review. After almost 20 years of using this product, I trust it to handle most situations.
What's great about it: Effective prompting leads me to what I don't know
What's not so great: Wish there were more sources for downloadable financial data (1099's, etc.)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is Easty to Use

Step-by Step method asks simple questions and takes you through every possibly for your rerun so you don't overlook anything.
I shift to the Forms mode on occasion to review and make corrections, and then it’s back to Step-by Step.
TurbTax make suggestions which are helpful.

I use Turbo Tax because I don't need to hire a professional to explain that that I may not understand at first look.
If a person can read and hit a keyboard key they can do their own taxes.

Very easy to use. well prepared. Like the "Explain this" on each page. Use you EVERY year since you came out.
