Cleared up confusion

What's great about it: clear and simple explainations and forwarded me to the right department
What's not so great: n/a

Wish I REALLY knew if I had to ITEMIZE MY DEDUCTIONS. They sure are time consuming...all year long and during tax time.

Have used Turbotax online for years. I had to downgrade verions this year and customer service (in Colorado too!) was a great help to get me help by offering a download to fix my issues.
I didn't know how much of a value this has been over the years, until I needed to pay for a consult with a CPA this year. Wow.

With the exception of being unable to scroll until I changed my settings on the MAC, the TurboTax program worked very smoothly through the data-insertion phase. The guidance available on a page-by-page basis was concise and apropos,
I had problems when I tried to e-file with the program telling me that it was unable to send because "validation failed". After a great deal of searching, a simple restart of the MAC cleared the hangup.

What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance that almost takes the drudgery out of the process.
What's not so great: Used a MAC and the TT wouldn't scroll. TT wouldn't e-file my Federal return and gave an inaccurate reason for the hiccup

Ammended Taxes You Can Do it!

Love this program. Yeah so, I had to refile for 2011 and 2013. The TurboTax support people were very friendly and professional and helped me right away. Very pleased, took the dread out of it!

Easy to use with interview format and the carry over data from prior year makes data entry less time consuming. The alimony paid area in other deductions had a bug in it on the Deluxe version. If the user answered no to alimony paid in 2013, but had previously paid in 2012 the system showed an error looking for recipient name and SSN. This error prohibited e-filing. I had to answer the alimony question "yes" which opened another data entry area and then had to delete the alimony line. If the answer is no to alimony paid, there should not have been an error message looking for recipient name and SSN. I also hate it when the free federal e-file is limited to 5 and the cost to e-file for state returns are so high.
What's great about it: Carries over data from year to year. Makes data entry less time consuming.
What's not so great: The alimony paid section had a bug. Can't e-file more than 5 returns for free. High cost to file state electronically
