Serious drawbacks to fix

- After a death in the family found turbo tax extremely difficult to handle the transfer of IRA info (ie. basis transfer to surviving spouse, RMD, etc.);
- Owned LP's and it is frustrating if not maddening to figure out where to input all the K-1 data correctly;
- Correcting errors via error check needs major upgrade (provides no context of error and limited cross-referencing back & forth to form);
- Often have to re-enter same information over and over when I revisit a screen to check correctness or update something that was already completely filled out - info should be saved by system to avoid duplicate entry.

Clergy SE Income-need STMT for IRS

For Clergy, Schedule SE line 2 needs a STMT filed with the IRS. Schedule SE Adjustments Worksheet, Part II, is the appropriate Statement (good job Turbo Tax!) However, it is labeled "Keep for your records." Therefore I assume it is not included when we eFile. Can you remedy this before its time to do 2015 returns?

Awaiting all my Refunds

I have not received my 2011 or 2012 Federal Tax Refund as I E-Filed both and walah NO IRS REFUND!!!!!
What's great about it: Quick, Fast, and Easy
What's not so great: My Identity was breached in 2012 and I did not get my Tax Refund as somebody beat me to it!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Too much fun!!!

It took me too long to get started doing my taxes because I was scared I'd make a mistake or not understand what I was supposed to do.
Turbo made it not only easy...but I really enjoyed doing them using their program for both state and federal.

What's great about it: It took me so long to get to doing my taxes, I was so scared I couldn't do them. Turbo made it fun and easy.
What's not so great: I wish I had started earlier on my taxes...

Errors in turbotax software

Two errors in turbotax software. In the first case TurboTax somehow thought I had applied my 2012 state refund to my 2013 taxes. I could not get this corrected. In the second case, in the sales tax section, I entered sales tax on a new vehicle I had purchased. Somehow TurboTax wanted to apply this deduction twice. I finally had to just start all over from scratch. Cost me hours trying to correct, and ultimately redoing everything. Very frustrating.

I found the US version very difficult to navigate, and it is often unintuitive. I have done my own taxes for many years, and prefer to enter directly into the forms. This program makes it very difficult. As well as being hard to enter information, inconsistent glitches occurred, and often line explanations were incomplete, unclear or non existent. For example, just as I was getting ready to efile, another error popped up after running the error check which told me my return was free of errors. This sort of thing happened a lot and is very annoying and frustrating. The Canadian edition is far more logical and intuitive. Entering directly to forms is easy and uncomplicated, yet complete. I find it a snap to use and is free of the glitches that plague the US version. I will think hard about using this program next year.

I want to fo fo from form to form eaisly and your product does not do that anymore. I want all workwheets to appear and all forms. Very cumbersom for somepome that has used past products. Probably find a new tax procuct next year
What's great about it: your versions are geared to to people that do not no forms. I will probably never by your product again because of this

I found TurboTax a quick and easy way to do my taxes both Federal and State. I have used it for several years and don't have any complaints.
What's great about it: Easy to use, reasonable price
What's not so great: Extra charge for e-filing states
