Overall, I think TT is a great product. I have never bothered to shop for anything else.
This Review process for entering stuff and then getting a REVIEW that says something is taken and I need to enter somethinng else is for the BIRDS.
What's great about it: Having used TT for years, it was a familar feel
What's not so great: I used a k-1 for the 1st time this year and had a hard time getting it started and fund it cumbersum.

This is the nth time I have tried to write this Review. The last time I was timed out and Canceled. Prior to that I had to enter my alias 7 time before I just ran my finger over the keyboard to enter my alias. That is crazy!
What's great about it: Familiar with the look and feel of TT
What's not so great: First year I entered K-1's and I had trouble finding a way to do them. Took me longer than it should

Disappointed

Overall, pretty satisfied with product but very disappointed that I had to go through an outside vendor to pay the estimated tax owed when I went to file an extension…the program should be able to deal with this itself so that a "service fee" doesn't have to be paid which is charged by the outside vendor.
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: Can't pay estimated tax with Extension thru program

TT 2013 Deluxe

I have used TurboTax (TT) for what seems like ever, and it has improved year-to-year. However, sometimes there are certain situations (dependents - adult children or others) where more information would be helpful, like what constitutes *providing a majority of their support*, or when it would be more advantageous for the dependent to file claiming themselves rather than letting a parent claim them.
Overall, I would continue to use and recommend TT to friends and family.
What's great about it: Easy to use - as always
What's not so great: Needs better help in some sections

Need to be upfront with prices

Covered EVERYTHING! Was able to write off quite a bit of our small business expenses. I just HATE how there's all of a sudden charges at the end to efile and if you have more than one state there's charges for that also.
What's great about it: Very detailed & answers to every question
What's not so great: tricky with the prices

Amaaaazingg Results

I filed my taxes by myself last year and received a measly amount. This year, I used TurboTax and got over $1,000 back! It had no hiccups, it filed everything perfectly for me, and it even gave me the option to direct-deposit my refund to my account! I know I get stressed every year when tax season comes up, but this year was entirely stress free! Give it a shot, ya won't regret it :D

Dependable Software

I have used TurboTax for a number of years now. I am an Accountant and used to do my returns by hand so I know the theory behind the numbers used. I have found TurboTax to be consistent with my understanding of tax theory.
