Electronic filing lousy

`I filed the 2013 fed and CA on March 15th of 2014. The IRS has no one to speak to it is all computerized so I was unable to determine if the returs had been received but still unprocessed, or not received at all.
i resent electronically. i suppose I will have to pay a late fee now.
What's great about it: with you for yearsmy husband and I have been satisfied
What's not so great: not generally but..
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT - THE 1 4 ME

I have been using Intuit products since the first Quicken appeared and I used it for a small business. Any questions are addressed quickly and positively - often by going to help topics with most frequently asked questions or online with chat.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Frustrating to see updates after already filed!

Fed Transmission Error

My return was rejected, because of a supposed birthday error. on review of data, there was no error. TurboTax said review corrected the issue, but transmission error. Said download latest updates, did so, and still transmission error. Told me to file by mail. Not happy over this...have been using Turbotax for over a decade now.....

I have depended upon Turbo tax for 9 of the last 10 years,
What's great about it: I loved that they walked through the forms and gave explainations wherever i needed them.
What's not so great: there is a lot of screens to click through

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least seven years and have been very pleased. It did not help one year with some investments that used the cost based interest method.

What's not so great: a little clunky trying to get back to a question that you want to revisit or adjust

Thoughts to improve the interview...

The process would be much more comfortable if the interview began by asking what forms we have in our possession and immediately allowing us to dispatch them quickly and confidently. Then proceed with the rest of the interview to complete the process.
What's great about it: Electronic and whatnot
What's not so great: Uncertainty is needlessly prolonged
