fast and mostly enjoyable

Had no issues, i have used Turbo Tax for last 6 years and will continue to use in the coming years.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and understand

I used a different computer last year to file. That computer was replaced and I was hoping that my return would be kept online so I could use the information from that to start and use on my new computer. Could not. It would be nice to have a help portion of the software to assist in keeping things for online access.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: could not get last years return online to download. Doesn't give an understandable way to copy return to access online.

Made doing tax return easier

User for Years

Have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has gotten better and easier to use each year. Transfer of previous year's information and year-over-year comparisons are very helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to use; data input is much easier than before (both manually and by download)
What's not so great: Would really be nice if charitable contributions could be sorted alphabetically or by amount after being inputted
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good, but a few glitches

When I called intuit, they finally said just ignore the refund amount at the top, the refund amount at the end of the program was correct.
I also expected it to walk through the simple error that IRS sent me, about the credit for a child could not be taken because they were too old. (I had the birthday wrong) So I went through the step by step process and resubmitted, only to find the program did not interface with the error message at all, I was on my own.

This is the first year that the previous year's (2012# data did not automatically transfer to the current year's return #2013#
This was a significant problem, worsened by the fact that Turbo does not provide a phone number for assistance
Please advise if Turbo will provide an automatic transfer for next years return #2014)

Just finished my eleventh consecutive year of TurboTax returns and it was excellent, as usual. Having the software import information from financial institutions is amazing.
Back in the day I went to the library for access to tax information and took three or four hours (including travel) to complete my forms. This years return took only 35 minutes!!!
What's great about it: Importing pertinent information from prior returns and financial institutions.
What's not so great: Mild issues printing state return to mail after "E"filing fed return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
