I like that TT figures everything out for me. shew. I only had to consult the help function 3 times....which given the confusion I would otherwise have had, was spectacular!
One thing that I was a little concerned about was whether the federal energy credit carried into the state. I couldn't find it on the state form, so entered it as a appropriate state solar credit. Hope I was correct on this one.

Easy/Peasy

Newly divorced, I hadn't done a return in over 20 years! A little nervous, the program walked me through the questions and in some cases pulled data electronically so I didn't even have to input. It was very easy. I would have liked a little more specific information for my situation; issues on child support, last year filing jointly/this year individual, I had purchased a new vechicle, etc....
But over all very simple and easy to do!!
(Even in their questionnaire in the section "life changes" divorce isn't listed!!!!)

this is an eye opener. My first job and my first tax return. Its not bad at all. I think i actually enjoyed counting how much i made and how much i can get as a refund. It was also a learning experience; Becareful with my money.

few problems

when I printed off my return it said that I was filed. Didn't see the state refund yet and federal didn't come out of my account. looking back, I didn't receive a confirmation in e-mail that the return was accepted. now I a m late!
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: confusing at the end
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made Tax Time Smooth

I took the long road using Easy-step all the way even though I probably didn't need it to make sure I didn't forget anything. The audit meter gave me piece of mind. Would have liked to e-file an extension for free.

so easy it's almost fun

Overall it is a joy to use. Nice to see how entering information changes the amount owed or refund as you are doing the return rather than waiting to see at the end. Tax time was always dreadful when I was a kid as my Dad always freaked over it. It still takes awhile to put the info in but it really is a breeze to have Turbo Tax guide me thru it and tell me where to find it in the info I have before me! It really is, almost, fun, except for the part about paying taxes!

What's great about it: explains where to find the info it asks for
What's not so great: sometimes hard to go back to replace info in only limited situations
