the service was phenomenal, but the hiding charges I was not too happy for it, you get to purchased the disc and then you need to paid extra for the State filing. However, the overall service is convenience in more private use.
What's great about it: the convenience of reviewing the personal information
What's not so great: extra charges for the state filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

By filing my own return I learn a lot about taxes. What can and what can't be deducted. What deductions I qualify for and the reason I can no longer deduct certain things. In particular, tuition for our son. Once we learned we entered a certain tax bracket it pushed us to pay off my son's prepaid education. Although it is a lot to read, I am very grateful for the knowledge I gain by using Turbo Tax.

on the step by step, last year the previous amount of the past return was shown. This year, the previous amount of the past return was not shown until the end. It would be helpful, like in past years that the appropriate amount was shown when enterinn this year,s data.
What's not so great: Slightly more dillicult from last year,s return

Needs to Transfer More Data!

Most instructions are clear. There are a few pages where I tear my hair out trying to figure out exactly is being asked of me.
What's great about it: User-friendly, clear.
What's not so great: I have to re-enter a lot of information that I entered on the previous year's Turbo Tax (i.e. charitable donation info.)

Problems with form 4835

This year, when I tried to enter our farm information, I was sent to the wrong form and the only way I could fill out form 4835 was to select the forms option and enter everything manually. It added hours to doing our income tax and questioning to use Turbo Tax again or try another brand.
What's great about it: Normally can do step by step
What's not so great: would not allow me to fill out the 4835 without using forms only

I am frustrated

Turbotax has deteriorated greatly this year, even more than last year. It used to be so easy to use, but no longer! My tax adviser has changed to H&R Block, which I will use from now on. What has happened to Turbotax???????
What's great about it: I have used Turbotax for MANY years
What's not so great: I can't print my return for file - it used to be so easy!
