Taxes straight forward using Turbo Tax

All things considered, I think Turbo Tax is a great tax tool in the hands of a person that does not have a complicated tax situation.
What's great about it: Allows you to start and stop, easy to correct data after initial entry, accurate calculations
What's not so great: Sometimes it is unclear what data is being asked for. Was never able to make W2 data download from my employer to work

TurboTax takes an unpleasant chore and eliminates the drudge work. Thank you for helping get this done.
What's great about it: Quick and easy for input, selecting appropriate forms in order to file.

Helps make filing taxes easier

Turbo Tax facilitates preparing tax returns. Only issue I had was not being able to enter bank information for direct deposit of my state return when I initially chose not to efile state return due to cost -- it automatically defaulted to the debit card option even though the bank information was available via the federal return (Virginia). This is what happened to me last year. I found out via google search this year that if I selected efile for state return, Turbo Tax would prompt me for bank info. Once selected, I could then go back to filing by mail. This needs to be corrected. Also liked that I could use the same version of Turbo Tax to file my mother's tax return.
What's great about it: step by step instructions to make sure you don't forget anything; prepoplulating information from previous year's return
What's not so great: efile for state not free; no walk through of state return

Depend on this service for a number of years now and quite satisfied with Fed and state. Have not been satisfied with RITA.

I've used Turbo Tax since 2009, uploads data from previous year fast and accurately - I wouldn't use any other program...
What's great about it: I finished in 2 hours
What's not so great: I couldn't think of one thing that I didn't like

Another Year of Mastering My Taxes

This must be my 10th year or so of using TurboTax so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Not only did it make things easy with auto import of last year's data and investment income, this year's surprise was when it prompted me for input on a mortgage I'd refinanced and I realized I had not input the points when I originally set the loan up. TT automatically calculated the unamortized points and I saved $1,000 I hadn't planned on. Bravo!
What's great about it: Auto Prompting Saved me $1000
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
