What went wrong

I should not be held liable for late payment fees when Turbotax caused the problem

Military expenses

Military expenses should have come up vs business expense in appropriate section since I stated in the beginning I am a reservist. Confusing...
Also, did not flow well with more than one state. Had to go back to federal all over again to do second state..... frustrating.
What's great about it: easy to follow pages
What's not so great: didnt flow as it should
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

E-file problem

I always have enjoyed working with your product but this year it updated when I logged on and lost all of my information and I had to re enter all the information. I also tried to e-file several times and it was rejected in which I did everything recommended with no proper course of resolution, so I had to file by mail which is not why I bought the product. My son and others have had problems with your product and used H&R block software but I told them it was user error. I now have to apologize to them and now considering other options for next year.
What's great about it: the overall process of doing the taxes was like always recommended
What's not so great: When went to e-file it was rejected due to pin and agi not matching and tried to fix several times to no avail.

Unacceptable

Bottom line: when I went to file my taxes, I received numerous error messages, all of which were related to 2 glitches in the TurboTax program. Tax time is not a time for beta testing when your product is, you know, tax preparation software. I ended up having to file my taxes by snail mail, something I had not done in years.
Next year TaxCut, H&R Block or the local wino will be more likely to be sought for tax prep help than this misbegotten progeny from the union of drunken code monkeys and unsuccessful accountants.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: They don't give me enough space to list them

I'm getting rid of limitd partnerships

Too many error messages on the k-1's. Took several hours to cure the errors. I don't need the hassle.
What's great about it: ability to download from brokerage accounts
What's not so great: extra charge for deluxe e-file. didn't expect it. ended up printing.

2013 Taxmare

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have been mostly happy with the software. Sometimes though, when skipping around and coming back, I find that it did not save my previous selections and I had to re-select through the questions.
What's great about it: It was helpful to see the "clues" that said "this is not common"
What's not so great: when selecting printing options, I could not omit worksheets
Pros: I bought or sold investments
