Informed me of write offs

Answering questions and an explanation be provided for every question simplified and educated me while performing my taxes.
What's great about it: Provided questions of what I could credit towards my taxes.
What's not so great: Did not include bank interest earned even though it is so small.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turns the IRS Code into easy to understand language by guiding preparer step by step. Based on age and filing status the program alerts preparer of any changes in the IRS Code from the previous year that might affect the current year return.
What's great about it: Quick & Easy to Use
What's not so great: Have to be computer literate

I've used turbotax since 2009 and never had the problems like this years edition. I put a "0" in a line I shouldn't have and the form would not let me delete it. When I went to file it kept saying this was an amount that needed to be filed in another form. THE ONLY WAY TO DELETE THE "0" WAS TO OVER RIDE but then I couldn't file because I wasn't allowed to override that form. So I canceled the override and the "0" appeared again. Finally I had to delete the form and start over.
I won't use Tubro Tax next year
What's great about it: none
What's not so great: forms that don't allow overide

Worked Fine

I am not as computer savy as some people are. I filled most of the information out myself but had a neighber that works on taxes as a part time job and he helped me with the finishing touches.
What's great about it: Was easy to move around in
What's not so great: There were a few things I wasn't sure about

Had trouble downloading "updates"so I could e-file. After trying multiple times, using suggestions from the help feature, My return got rejected for having used a TIN before. After trying to remedy that problem twice I finally had to file by USPS.
What's great about it: Ease of entering data, your remembering info from last year

When i expected to take all day I got done with my return in 4 hrs from start to fininsh. Turbo Tax makes it easy. Any questions i had were answered.
What's great about it: Ask the right questions
What's not so great: none

Your Error Check needs work

The error check does not check the final pretrasmit forms I had a mismatch in birth dates that caused a reject and then I kept getting rejected for FPYMT-072-01 - If the return is received on or before the due date of the return, then the Requested Payment Date must be on the due date or before the due date.
Your easy fix could not fix the problem

What's not so great: error check missed a mismatch in birthdates and payment date/due date issue
