Still the Best Tax Program

I have used TurboTax since 1996 and have found it to be the best tax program out there.
The programmers should figure a way to handle multiple entries of data; for example, I had over 50 W-2G forms to enter and had to type the payor's information each and every time. Try using the word programs that identify phrases and enter them once the first letter or two is typed.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, Error Checking
What's not so great: Doesn't Handle Repetitive Entries

Mediocre Software

Our tax return was rejected because the Turbo Tax software loaded an incorrect SSS# from the previous year tax return. Then I have to fix Turbo Tax's mistake. This should be a very basic transfer of data and it was screwed up

Easy & Complete, As Usual

When a person hears on TV of how many highly educated people DON'T do their own tax returns, I guess they have never tried TurboTax. Their loss. I have found the program to be easy to work through, and easy to revise entries, if necessary.
I do appreciate the "donation value calculation" step - instead of trying to guess or search out a value for a donated item.
What's great about it: Carry-over of previous year's data
What's not so great: Having to wade through steps (forms) not needed. I know, I know, its necessary to insure accuracy.

Prompt & Pleasing Profit!

I have been using Turbo Tax exclusively for over 10 years and I am confident every year when it comes time to push the "send" button that my returns will soon be on the way!
What's great about it: The comlpete ease of comprehension from start to finish
What's not so great: I had to search to find 1: Not having previous year worksheets to view and compare while completing current year

Turbotax altered my return after filing

On April 6, 2014, I filed a correct 2013 Form 1040 electronically by means of the INTUIT Turbotax online filing system. My return showed the correct tax due. I authorized a debit on my bank for that amount due.
I printed a copy of my return for my records when I filed; this copy shows the correct amount that I owed when I filed.
Days later, I found that my return had been altered after it had been filed. The altered return did not list the fully taxable distribution from my IRA on line 15b. The altered return now showed a refund due to me.
I am filing an amended 2013 Form 1040X solely to correct these errors, which are the sole and exclusive responsibility of INTUIT Turbotax.
