Almost...but not quite

Usually, I really, really, REALLY like TurboTax, but had an VERY bad experience this year with one really nasty issue:
some kind of problem with form 2106, at an intersection between (1) business use of vehicle, (2) casualty loss of vehicle, & (3) the AMT. Got an error, but no fix. AND, NO ESCAPE. TurboTax would not let me file without fixing this "error," but wouldn't tell me where or how to fix it. It had something to do with an entry on one worksheet exceeding some other line somewhere else. After 3 hours of trying to find and fix the error, I would have been happy to just zero out any deduction or additional depreciation and get the heck out of there, but no. Finally exited w/o saving, and had to start all over. Very unsatisfactory.

What's great about it: Overall ease of use
What's not so great: Nasty, know-nothing, do-nothing, inecapeable loop at the end

Have used TurboTax for 10 years. This is the first year I have not been able to file due to a problem with the program. I kept getting an error that I needed to update the program before filing. I had all the updates and was still not able to file. Because of a forum that suggested several tips, I made adjustments and found my own solution. I simply deleted anything TurboTax related in my library folder. Once this was done, TurboTax updated the program and I was able to file my taxes, albeit two days late.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Problems filing with a Mac

I really liked it. Will definitely use again. Only complaint - when you go through the errors at the end, does not explain choices very well.
Overall, best way I have found to file.
What's great about it: Quick, Makes things easy, Files for you, Pay by Credit Card, Pretty inexpensive
What's not so great: A couple of unanswered questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Eases a Painful Process

Love that the previous years information is transferred to the next year. The side-by-side comparison with last years data is also useful to catch omissions.
A minor criticism: Don't like that the screen returns to the top of the topic list after each section is completed. I'd rather it return to where it left off on the list rather than having to scroll down each time.
What's great about it: Shortens a time consuming job
What's not so great: None significant

Contiuous updates

Was upset that I couldn't file on time because program kept asking for updates & because i use my school laptop I needed special codes from tech teacher at my school to do updates. Very irritating!! Never happened before!! Don't sell turbo program cd that's going to have to be updated!!
What's great about it: Normally fast and easy.
What's not so great: I wasnt able to file my taxes on time because the program kept telling me that I needed updates.

Turbo tax could have cause me fines and penalties

Turbo tax computed my PA state tax incorrectly. It did not have the correct algorithm for a retired state employee receiving a 1099R who has a dependent child. It failed to include my pension.
What's great about it: Federal easy to use
What's not so great: PA State is not UP-TO-DATE OR accurate
