on April 14 I hit efile my returns and it did not file them after going through all the bank account info and everything else.
Did not know it till I check the status which told me I have no efiling to check
Then I go through everything again pay to efile my state it accepts my money then tells me it can not efile my state because there is a form not accepted for efiling.

Now I get to pay for late filing and interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Live in TN. Did not need to file state. TurboTax indicated that I should choose "Skip State" but that was not an option. Kept telling me I needed to file state taxes even when I chose the option that told me I did not need to file state.
Home office was difficult to navigate.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Home office was complicated
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

WENT FROM 1500 REFUND IN 2012 TO PAYING 2200 IN 2013 CLAIMING NO DEDUCTIONS ON W-2'S, MAKING LESS MONEY AND , GRANTED 1 LESS CHILD TO DEDUCT. UNABLE TO DEDUCT IRA CONTRIBUTIONS-AGI TOO HIGH-(WASN'T LAST YEAR) GUESS ALL I CAN SAY IS MUST HAVE BEEN SOME MAJOR TAX CHANGES IN 1 YEAR.
What's great about it: SO POSITIVE AND EASY..............THEN
What's not so great: NO EXPLANATIONS OF WHY HUGE DIFFERENCE

Wonderful Program

I appreciate Turbo Tax and see no reason to ever use anything else if the quality remains as it is today. I was able to do my taxes (a year and a day late) and mail it in with nothing owed to the state and a refund from the IRS.
What's great about it: If you can read you can do your own taxes with Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Once I purchased the program, it was hard to find and I was not able to import the work that I had already done

Making My Taxes understandable

Due to my work schedule and availability of time, I had no way to know if I could make an appointment to have my taxes done. I had just bought a home early in the year and was feeling rather intimidated with doing my own taxes. The help features built into the program helped a great deal with the stress I had started out with. Having the IRS Publications at my fingertips helped me out a great deal as well. By the time I had finished my taxes I felt I had not only saved myself time, travel and headache, I entered everything to the best of my ability and ended up with the best refund possible and the pride of having done them myself, even with my limited time available. I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone that wants to get their taxes done as quickly as possible and done correctly.
What's great about it: The explanations, access to the IRS Publications, ability to work around my hectic schedule
What's not so great: My only problem is that I had a problem with wording my questions correctly at times for the information I needed

Problem with filing date vs. payment date. TurboTax said payments up to 4/30/14 were OK, however the program forced user to file with payment date set to computer set date. If I set computer date to another date before 4/30/14 (4/18/14) I thought it would be OK. Federal & States rejected it. Had to refile. TurboTax forced filing & PAYMENT DATE TO 4/16/14. will it work??? I'm waiting

TurboTax Deluxe is Incredible

I did eight tax returns which makes purchasing TurboTax well worth the cost. This is an excellent product that I will continue to use for years to come as long as the tax code stays as complicated as it is and TurboTax stays in business.
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step instructions, the ability to skip the step-by-step and go right where you want to, automatic reviews
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to navigate
