Last Minute Filer

I'm always a last minute filer....Turbo Tax never fails me....I love the step by step guided wizard with hyperlink instructions. Every year filing my taxes gets harder, random stuff just happens, I run out of time and just can't keep up with all the changes with federal tax laws. Turbo Tax make it easier to file and be in compliance.
What's great about it: I really like the step by step guide wizard with instructions
What's not so great: No cons....

You can either choice the Guide Me option or do the forms yourself. It provides detailed information when asking questions to determine what information you need to provide for each section.

My return has been submitted to and rejected twice by the IRS. I was told I need a new PIN, so I called the IRS as suggested and was told by their electronic female employee that I don't need a new PIN. I was also told that my 2012 AGI did not match their records, but it's the amount that's shown on my 2012 return. I used Turbo Tax last year and it was a breeze. I don't understand this.

Procrastinator's Perfect Program

Since I am famous for putting off the dreaded tax return I waited till 10 pm on the 15th. All my documents were in order but nothing entered. The process went quickly with only one questionable item, a 1099 with an unusual letter behind it. It would have been easier if there was a scroll down option to choose your particular 1099. The walk thru helped me know all my available deductions and was easy to follow. At 11:15 PM I filed both State and Federal! Thanks for making this procrastinator's day!
What's great about it: The walk thru from start to finish was phenomenal.
What's not so great: Would have preferred all types of 1099 to be on a scroll down.

Return apparently failed to be filed

Today, the 16th, I have not received any acknowledgement via email or text (after closing Turbotax on 4/13 with an in-program message that my return was successfully transmitted) that my return was filed. So I went back into the program, and there was no indication that it was. I refiled it for the second time (now late) and am hoping for the best...

Failed to transmit over and over again due to update requirements, which when attempted never worked. I was forced to file and get charged by you 3 separate times and still ended up filing a day late due to your product defects. In order to FINALLY get my taxes filed I had to load TT onto my PC and start from scratch (meaning no previous years tax returns to borrow info from or anything).
I have used your product with great results for somewhere around 10 consecutive years, but this years debacle makes me give serious consideration to whether I will ever use it again.
What's great about it: hmmmmm
What's not so great: continued to fail transmission on my mac

Great except for state rejection

We have used Turbo Tax for years and loved it! This year our state return was rejected because of one number. Turbo Tax says after the fact that if that number is negative then you must mail your state return! Ugh! It would have been nice to know that when we efiled. Now our return is LATE!

What's not so great: State rejection so had to mail
