ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS ARE SO EASY!

YOU CANNOT ADJUST PREVIOUS TAX YEARS TO FILE LATER. OTHER THAN THAT A FEW GLITCHES EVERY NOW AND THEN THAT I HAVE TO SEARCH ON INTERNET FOR ANSWERS. OTHER THAN THAT I USE TURBO TAX EVERY YEAR. LOVE IT!
What's great about it: WALKS YOU THRU EVERY STEP
What's not so great: LOST MONEY ON EFILE AND DIDN'T RECOVER IT TO MY ACCT

Saves Time and Money

I have used Turbo Tax for years (since before it was Turbo Tax--think Parsons software) and have no intention of switching to another program for my taxes.
Turbo Tax is thorough, but simple to use. It navigates you through the normally confusing tax forms with simple questions and explanations. The program is great, but you still have to gather all of your information before you can complete your taxes. Turbo Tax cannot work miracles!
Sometimes I'm not completely sure which choice to make and I end up trying two different ways to enter information to find which gives me the best return. In those situations, I do wish there was more clarity.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is thorough, but simple to use.
What's not so great: Doesn't give complete clarity, since Turbo Tax is stuck working with our very complex tax codes.

Brilliant, as always

While I said e-filing being pricey was a "con", it's still probably worth it -- better than spending a whole weekend stressed out with papers everywhere. This is one of the best software programs in the country, and millions of us, besides just me, are grateful. Keep it up, as always! For years I always skipped the survey, but it's high time I praised you guys. Thanks.
What's great about it: Simplicity--took less than a half-hour
What's not so great: A little pricey on the e-filing

Worked well

I liked this latest version as it was more "fluid" than previous versions I had used. I liked that I could ask about a particular form I had received but was not queried about during the interview and it told me why I was not queried.
What's great about it: Good interview process
What's not so great: Difficult to quickly navigate forms

Quit the sales pitch.

I have used TurboTax for several years. I am always confident that my returns are completed properly and with the deductions done properly.
I am growing weary of the consistent sales pitch throughout the program. I do not want to tell you "no" to the audit protection, bookkeeping software, child care suggestions, or whatever else you are selling several times as I am completing each step along the way.
I would appreciate a "don't pitch me anything" option at the beginning of the preparation.
What's great about it: Easy, followed along, confident in product.
What's not so great: Consistently selling me more products.

The only way to do your taxes.. I have special care needs for my Mother and TT walked me through how to get the best deductions for her out of pocket care expenses
What's great about it: Easy as always, just enter the requested data and TT does the rest
What's not so great: TT does not always ask questions the same way from year to year.

The possibility of double paying was there....until after some pretty apprehensive clicking and reading.
So, essentially, I filed twice. Once with an efile and once on paper snail-mail.
I do like the ability to transfer data onto my next years return.
Pros.,,,,,barely outweigh cons. I'll still TurboTax next year

What's great about it: It was easier than I thought....
What's not so great: ...until it came to the part about "your return has been rejected". That hasn't happened ever before.
