Excellent product year after year

TurboTax has been a reliable tool for tax preparation in our family for over 15 years. We like the simple step by step interface that leads you through each section of what would otherwise be a collection of complex forms. The error checking system is thorough but would benefit from clickable links to the relevant forms.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions lead you through the preparation, instead of complex forms.
What's not so great: During the check and review errors there is no clickable link back to the relevant forms.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

going the extra mile

Turbo Tax is great but when your filing the last minute it doesn't pay to try an rush though it then you have go back and fix you mistakes
What's great about it: intense
What's not so great: nonger than I thought it would take

Can't transfer data between 2 turbo tax softwares

I bought Turbo Tax Deluxe on CD and installed on Mac.
When I am done with my tax and tried to file, turbo tax try to charge me. Hello?? I had bought the CD and installed it.
Turned out that I have been working on the other version not on the one that I bought . Trying to find doc how to transfer between the same turbo tax versions, no avail. Save it to Mac format but every time I open it open the one that I need to pay not the one that I bought. I had to reenter my tax twice.
Disappointed..Please improve it..

I've been using TurboTax for a more than a decade and will continue to do so.
What's great about it: I only had to have info - no figuring where to put what
What's not so great: ease of use added to my procrastination

It is very poor. No explaination as to how it came up with my federal tax due which was high $3986.00

A WALK IN THE PARK :)

I really like how you can have the option to skip questions that you absolutely know do not pertain to you. Or you can be "coached" through it!
It is really nice to know Turbo Tax has added that feature.
It saves a lot of time on doing long W-2's, receipts, etc..
