We've been using Turbo Tax for a lot of years. It just keeps improving.
What's great about it: Accuracy. User friendly tax program.
What's not so great: In our country, you have to pay to play. I didn't like writing the check, but I was confident the math was correct

I had just showed my brother how easy it was to use Turbotax than to use a tax service. Needless to say he was very impressed on how fast and easy it was to use and Efile.
What's great about it: Made doing my taxes easier and simple!
What's not so great: Wish they would make it upgradeable from older turbotax software.

FINALLY- A product that works~!!!!!

My nickname tells it all. Beginning 1/1 I become almost dysfunctional. Can't bring myself to expose myself in numbers to anyone. Yet, I can not overcome the complexities of self preparing this task. I'VE TRIED!!!! Its hopeless. Finally, the last weekend...I gotta do something to get this done. I buy your product, knowing I'll freeze and crumble. Couldn't walk into the computer room until the very last day... And wow, it was down to my level. I could do this!!!!! I did do this!!! And no one glaring at me. I understood. And what I didn't, you explained..
What's great about it: Nonjudgemental; private; detailed; answers questions, and helps to make decisions
What's not so great: THERE IS NO CONS about this program.

TurboTax has best interface and walks you through every single step assuring that you do not miss anything in your return. Even first time users should find program easy to use

TT needs help when it comes to LP sales.

The TT K-1 interview process doesn't enter the sales information correctly on either total or partial sales events. Since the LP sale is typically included on the broker 1099B, the TT interview process incorrectly generates "double taxation" by creating a new Form 8949 thereby duplicating the information provided by the brokers' 1099B. Workarounds involve overriding erroneous entries and/or deleting forms, which prevents e-filing a return - one of the salient features of TT. After I documented this problem last year, TT has made no attempt to fix this aggravating problem in the 2013 version. I would be happy to share my knowledge on this frustrating problem with Intuit as I live in the Bay Area. I would really like to not have to mail my returns in again next year.
What's great about it: TT is easy to use for most return needs
What's not so great: TT doesn't handle LP sales (doumented on LP K-1 forms) correctly
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This is the fourth year I've used TurboTax. It's alwasy been easy to follow and if you do have trouble help is available.

Tax Year 2013 Review

Overall - turbo tax is an easy to use program. The one improvement I would make is ... provide the ability to simply print a current screen shot. Rather than printing out the entire tax document, it would be great if you could simply print a few key summary pages such as the "Lets Review your numbers..."
What's great about it: Well organized questions, easy to follow instructions, good tax tool
What's not so great: Not able to print out a screen shot -- have to use the microsoft snipping tool to save a screen shoot
