Reliable, as always

My third year using TT & this year, I almost dumped it in favor of the Free tax prep forms online. Having spent a lot of time of that free form, I realized that it wasn't doing the job and couldn't even see enough of the form to determine where I'd gone so wrong that I owed money. Combed my hair and went out in search of TurboTax, the cd-rom version since I needed help with a form only supported by disk.
Now the forms are good and information is put in all the right places, calculations completed. But the first time, I made a mistake and panicked when I couldn't correct it. Went to help and saw that I could delete form and correct info that way. I wish, however, I'd been asked whether I needed that 982 form for a 1099-C.
If you need forms, I suggest you not leave this until the day of filing. However, it did take me through the form well enough so that I didn't have to pay $2-300 for a tax preparer. But I had the simplest of situations. Unfortunately, that's what my finances have been reduced to since the Great Recession.
I got a refund. But I did notice that the IRS has made these taxes a bit harder and demanding.
What's great about it: Great intuitive flow for basic info and incorporation of all possible deductions
What's not so great: Forms are a bit quirky, especially when you make a mistake

Very pleased with product, as usual. Was a challenge to figure out how to work between two computers since the product (TurboTax Deluxe) would not load on the 2006 emachine. I'll use it again next year (what better endorsement?)
What's great about it: Easy, had all the answers, once i got into the program
What's not so great: Would not load on old (2006) desktop

My income and tax situation changed dramatically in 2013. Turbo Tax helped me maximize my refund even with these changes!
What's great about it: Transfers last year's info, Easy to use, looks for areas to increase refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love TurboTax. Best new tool since the computer age... Seriously, it is a great tool. Easy to use, informative, healthy support...its great! Just got to be sure there are no glitches. Made filing taxes a synch!!!!
What's great about it: Easy, step-by-step - makes filing taxes a synch!
What's not so great: At the very end, a glitch and information would not transmit. Not good at the 9th hour.
