The list of items seemed to be smaller than previous years. Some items were difficult to find or not listed
What's great about it: Turbotax is very easy to use

Overall good

During my IRS audit a couple of years back, I told IRS that I deducted what Turbo tax told me to do but their answer was that Turbo Tax doesn't know everything. At this time I don't want to argue with IRS and risk additional findings and pay more. I cannot give you examples but that was the bottom line, I remember.
Overall I am happy, especially you take all information from previous year's return.
What's great about it: Takes through each step like a cook book which reminds what kind of documentation you need
What's not so great: You might want to give few more examples of common deductions so that one can rember all the items one can deduct.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I appreciate the detailed information. It was so easy and I saved about $300.00. It was really a good choice for me. I understand my taxes better this year that I used Turbotax.

Unbelievable results!

After years of paying a ridiculous amount of money to get my taxes done, I decided to try Turbo after a relative recommended it. This is my third year using Turbo Tax and I cant believe how easy it is! I appreciate all the guides and additional information, highly recommend Turbo Tax!

Seems to be getting worse

25 to file state is way too high. Ability to print and mail file has become way too obtuse. Charity deductions are still not alphabetized making review difficult. Granted some fault on me for procrastinating.

all and all a very pleasurable experience. this year i had to input rather than import from quicken. i will go back to doing this in the future.
What's great about it: Very thorough and quick for simple return
What's not so great: on a few of the questions i did not have the option to undo what i did

Couldn't do it without TurboTax

We have been using the same PC for filing since 2005. it finally bit the dust on Saturday April 12, 2014. With 3 days to file, we went out and bought a laptop. I uploaded all the starter programs, Turbo Tax and was done with our taxes in a few hours. My only stress was getting my husband to agree that a new computer was the only way to go. Next year will be even easier because TurboTax will import 2013 information right into my 2014 form.

What's great about it: As long as i input the right numbers, TurboTax does the thinking.
