Consistent performance and outcomes through the years. Guide feature has become easier to use through the years.
What's great about it: Ease of use. Guide feature. Easy Efile.
What's not so great: Paying for extra state and additional state filing fee.

Never again.

Overall, very unimpressed with TurboTax. This is the first time I have used it and only because my wife purchased it without asking. I've always submitted my taxes myself, on paper, the way it's been done for decades and never had any issues. I will admit it was my fault for waiting until the last minute to do my taxes, however, when I kept getting errors telling me my return couldn't be filed electronically and that I would need to mail in a paper copy at 5:00 p.m. local time (post office is closed!) I was ready to scream. I also understand tax law is a monster and that it is constantly changing, but this product is advertised to make getting your return easy. I didn't get any more than if I had done it by hand and it made it more difficult. It asked questions I barely understood even after reading the description of the question itself. Needless to say, I'll be doing it the old-fashioned way from now on.
What's great about it: Tried to help save money on things I hadn't claimed before
What's not so great: Too involved, too complicated

Disabled are Short Changed

I have been faithful to Turbo Tax for many years, and I know it's not you all making the tax laws. I do know with the millions of users buying your product; that a little more research can be put into helping the disable, and elderly receive a larger tax income. I mean, every year so many questions are asked and very few of the questions have solid or factual answers given back. Directions or guidance to the correct publications would be helpful. I would like to see deeper research into getting (us# the disable and elderly a bit larger return...Have a nice day. :-)
P.S.: Here is a suggestion, can you have a quick search window set up like most of the programs do, to help some of slow learners quickly arrive at frustrating answers. #Maybe you can work alone side the IRS for approval)
What's great about it: Quick and easy reading, questions easy to answer, and instructions easy to follow.
What's not so great: Disabled benefits not helpful. Tax breaks not supporting enough, We feel double tax'd in some areas.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Display previous year with all deductions, etc.
W-2s should be self-generating from previous year
What's great about it: Works well once you get going....
What's not so great: Tranfer of 2012 to purchased CD was difficult

I have always used Turbo Tax it is easy to glide through the tax filing. The extra processing fee surprised me this year, After paying for Turbo Tax then the processing fee's added was a bit too much. But we will continue to use Turbo Tax for the following years to come.
What's great about it: ease of filing taxes
What's not so great: the extra processing fee
