Yet again a turbo tax day

I have been using Turbo Tax since the 90's sometime and it is easy as can be, The help info is a click away and most of the time written in language I can understand. I like in the Schedule C walk through that last years numbers are there so I can remember where or how I calculated them. When I need a copy later in the year for some reason, I can go right back into it , find what I need and print. I know I saved it all as a PDF another great feature, but as a backup I can get right back to it from the program.
What's great about it: Last years data is easily transferred and visible most of the time
What's not so great: I don't like the fee to have fees subtracted from refund.

Federal went great! But my state taxes had issues

I am so glad we bought turbo tax. We bought a house this year, and I have several jobs, so I was nervous about filling out the regular paper tax forms. With turbo tax, the program asked me all the questions in an easy to understand manner. It was so easy! The only problem I ran into was trying to e-file my state taxes. I called the support line, was on hold for a while which was expected, and he helped me figure out the problem! I am so glad I made this purchase and I highly recommend it to everyone!
What's great about it: very easy, step by step, helps you understand the tax jargon, asks you questions that an accountant wouldn't
What's not so great: the error e-filing my state taxes, and the terrible static of the hold music when I called for help

Things to fix

On this year and all years in the future I will have to fill my 1040 using the standard deduction since I have paid off my home and don't have sufficient deductions to get above the stardard deduction. I will you would have asked my up front if I planned on using the Standard Deduction and this could have saved me a lot of time reading and answering questions i really didn't need to.
Also, the view forms option is not complete as it would no show me a total list of all of the forms. It would also be very helpful to compile a separte list of ONLY the "Worksheet" in alphabettical order. Finally,..you list of forms is all compacted together and you can't tell where one section ends and the nest one begins. If you added a single space in between it would make it a lot easier to locate the forms people need.
P.S. I have used Turbo Tax every year since 1982. I though for sure you would have given me a free copy on my 25th anniversary with TurboTax. Maybe on my 35th?????

Made my Tax Day!

Easy to use and feels very intuitive while I am using the program. Being gone for nearly a year with the military, Turbo Tax is right on the money with the Federal and State Tax requirements regarding Combat Zone Tax Exclusion. They are helpful on the forms and on the Help Topics explaining what the requirements are to complete the forms. Easily walked me through the College VA Benefits for my children using my GI Bill to go to college.

Dependable Product

Have used TurboTax for 10 years now and believe it is well worth the money compared to filling out the forms by hand -- it gives a level of comfort that I'm not making simple mistakes. Occasionally I find it necessary to make changes in the forms view where the software doesn't appear to think about a particular situation. This year, it was the fact we've already repaid our 2008 Homebuyer's "credit" after selling our home two years ago -- the software asks us when we sold our home, which is irrelevant since we already repaid the entire credit. To make matters worse, it would only accept a date in 2013, even though the home was sold in 2012. Had to go into the forms field to fix it so it stopped showing up as an error in the review section. Someone should fix this for next year to avoid the hassle. Overall though, I'm happy enough to stick with TurboTax for next year--as long as they keep the price reasonable.

Overall very satisfied. Was an extremely helpful and time saving tool to get the taxes done on time. I have been using for years and will continue.
What's great about it: Walked me through the return process and e-filing and pulled all my info from previous prior year return
What's not so great: Would have liked a more detailed analysis and comparison between current and prior year's return
