Bit Of A Struggle

After my first time though the program, seveal problems were listed, but no direct help in dealing with the issues. I had to shut down and sleep on it before I could resolve the problems and get the results that would allow efiling.
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: Trouble dealing with problems

Faxes were okay to do as contract worker

My only concern was that in some cases their was not information for tax payers who did consulting work. For some reason turbo tax kept saying I had a partnership. I hope I filled this out correctly
What's great about it: I understood almost everything
What's not so great: there was a portion that I hope I completed properly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Always confident TT is correct and maximize refund

Recently bought new house. Trouble finding all deductions (origination fee) location to enter amount in TT help. I did find similiar ?? and answers quite helpful in Help Center. It was more extensive, wish TT would have just linked or suggested going there w/o me spending time searching around for information. I still find this product to more than meet my Tax needs. Now on to 2014 taxes and the sale of my former house which looks to be an easier input.
What's great about it: Easy input of data and input/import data from ItsDeductable
What's not so great: Trouble within TT to find entry for Origination Fee.

better for experienced users

great app for self-filers but I would rather have clearer explanations for those unsure about the whys and wherefores of the filing process. the help menu was limited and I still needed to call my Mom (a CPA) for clarification on more than one issue. I realize software can't reconcile every issue out there but I didn't think mine was particularly obscure.
What's great about it: walked you thru the process
What's not so great: still used tax terminology for the uninitiated

Excellent Tax Refund Program!

I purchased Turbo Tax yesterday, 14 Apr 2014, and made an error in filling out an incorrect Amended form for the tax year, 2012 (wound up being this year, 2013, although I believe I clicked on 2012). Anyway, I had difficulties using the program for my 2013 tax refund because of this. I called Turbo Tax and after talking to someone who didn't have a clue, I spoke with a true pro and she patiently and kindly did everything she could do to assist me in helping me get my taxes completed. Although we couldn't get the 1040X form deleted, she was able to send me a downloadable version (and although I had to input EVERYTHING again! Bummer!), it worked and I was able to submit my tax return today! Michelle was awesome!! Cannot thank her enough for helping me out!
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand!
What's not so great: Difficulties in deleting a non-needed form.
