Excellent, but not perfect!

The type in Turbo Tax should be bigger. There should be greater contrast between the "Continue" button color (light blue) and the word(s) on the button (which are white). I also had trouble deciphering the home improvement tax credit... more information should have been available.

Loose parts

I have been using this program for years and absolutely love it. It has saved me a ton of time and pots money that used to go to CPA's vacation funds. This year, however, there were some glitches. Errors that appeared in the review were not really errors at all. Line items did not match up with the suggested errors. I simply bypassed the whole mess and my return was finished. Paying to file the state return should be eliminated. Intuit makes enough money on the program itself. And upping the price from one page to the next us simply bait and switch and adds to the nuisance. Bottom line is all-in-all I am a very happy camper and will continue to use Turbo Tax even though my finances have become more complicated in my retirement with investments, rental property and such. Thanks for a good product, Intuit.
What's great about it: Step-by-step makes it easy to use.
What's not so great: Charging for the state return? Really.

Great Refund!

I've used Turbo Tax on CD for years now and don't even consider any other program. The main thing I like about it is fact that it is easy and last years taxes are saved and can insert info from there into this years forms. I tried the online version and was not as satisfied.

Rated Good but Nearly Excellent

I switched back to Turbo Tax after 2 years with other software. As I remembered, Intuit just seems smoother and easier to navigate. It also included one important form for paying State tax that the other didn't have (or it was "hidden").
I happened to know that I could pay my state taxes online with the Department of Revenue (Missouri). Turbo Tax said I had to send a check. The pay online option may only be a year old, so hopefully Turbo Tax will catch on.
The options between itemizing or taking the standard deduction was laid out clearly. I itemized.

I plan to stick with Turbo Tax.
