Almost painless tax filing

Prior to using TurboTax (last 5+ years) I had a tax professional do my taxes.When I found errors on the taxes I was paying them to file I bought Turbo Tax the next year. And I haven't looked back.
TT (Turbo Tax) brought important information forward from last years return I filed using TT, questioned me if I seemed to leave something off based on last year and in general held my hand even guiding me through the electronic filing process.
I'm an accountant by profession. So why do I use Turbo Tax? I wouldn't let my dentist do my heart surgery if I needed surgery. I'd go to a Professional in surgery. Turbo Tax, professionals in tax filing.
What's great about it: Do it all-gather data from last year, calc, print and file
What's not so great: Some explanations seemed short or incomplete

Have used TurboTax - forever - and overall I've been satisfied. Every once in a while it does something unexpected, but generally, it works great. One thing though - it seems like it hasn't changed all that much in terms of what might be useful technology-wise. My tax situation is fairly basic so I'm not really utilizing all that it might have to offer. For my purpose it is the best option - affordable, reliable, easy and complete. Will continue to use.
What's great about it: quick, easy, generally thorough, hopefully accurate
What's not so great: specific tax help is really not great - forum helps with questions

Makes a tedious task easily managed

I appreciate this product very much; it has helped me since 2005 and for me, revolutionized my way of doing taxes. I was able to do more in less time. I also became more informed on what the tax forms entailed, especially as I began working from home, and needed to use the long form for the first time. A real eye-opener into the intricacies of taxes. I also like the freedom it affords me to be able to do my taxes myself.
I was unable to connect with links on some of the questions this year, though. I think it might have been my pop-up blocker, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your creation!

What's great about it: Walks you through each step with alacrity, ease.
What's not so great: Links for questions did not go through.

I had intended to make partial payments from a debit card and a credit card but that option did not seem to be available. I would appreciate the addition of that feature in the future.
What's great about it: Complete / Comprehensive / Concise / & Clear

Love TurboTax

We have used Turbo Tax for many years and find it intuitive and easy to use. Pulling investment info from brokerages and prior information is a valuable asset.
We hope to use it for many years.

great product

overall a great product. I have used it for years. Went with a tax guy for a couple years, then came running back to Turbo Tax! Don't plan on leaving ever again!
What's great about it: asks you for all information
What's not so great: a little pricey to file state return but not too steep to not do it.
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

great software product. used to have an acct prepare returns for the last 6 years - been tackling this task on my own with TurboTax
What's great about it: pulling forward last years return info and comparisons.
What's not so great: wish e-filing state could be cheaper

Easy to Use, Some Flaws

Turbo Tax botched the 2013 version for Macs, but after some research online I was able to fix them. Even with the bugs (like not being able to e-file with the Mac version without going to the forums), it was still a heck of a lot easier and faster than trying to figure them out myself.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walked me through some very complicated taxes with ease.
What's not so great: A bug caused me to not be able to e-file effortlessly
