Overall a great application. Been using since 1985 (started with MacIntax)
What's great about it: links to forms and worksheets
What's not so great: had to over ride a few items

the steps are easy and simple to follow. When I couldn't find the stock sale, I typed it in the search box and there it was !! I use it every year, just import....., no more retyping my name address etc.... etc....and I'm halfway done. Can't imagine doing my taxes without TURBO and no way am I going to pay someone to read and click!
What's great about it: step by step with easy search box
What's not so great: repeats difficult to delete info
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The application is a great tool for calculating tax returns. However, the automatic renewal benefit should be less than typical retail pricing at Sam's or Best Buy.
The interface used to move through the forms is great!
What's great about it: Usability and user interface
What's not so great: Cost of the automatic renewal is too high
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

You can go between interview and forms and vice versa, and also jump back to a section using Show Topic List. Navigation is easy since it is very consistent from year to year
What's great about it: navigation consistency from year to year
What's not so great: cursor should jump to bottom when adding another section/group during interview

TurboTax, the only tax prep software for me

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years. It has always been extremely easy to use. The helps, information tabs, explanations, links to tax forms, etc. are incredible. I couldn't imagine doing my taxes with any other software.
What's great about it: Ease of use. Dependability. It's reliability. Comprehensive.
What's not so great: Not really anything.

I was trying to report a Social Security lump sum payment due to a disability that covered 2 prior years. I found this difficult to report.
What's great about it: I like the transfers from last years return
What's not so great: Found several areas complicated and difficult to understand
