I have used Turbotax for many years, with only one year using another brand. There was no question that I wanted to stay with Turbotax.

We have used Turbo Tax for years. My husband recently died and this is the first time I have used TT. I found it to be logical and did my return with out assistance. Pat helped me with a Mac problem. I was a little intimidated about the state filing but it was a snap. Good work TT guys and girls. Ill see you next years.
What's great about it: Pat really know his stuff
What's not so great: took 43 minutes to talk with tech

I've been using TurboTax for years! I love it. I even showed my 21yr old daughter how easy it is, and she did her own taxes for the first time this year. Happy user.
What's great about it: It walks me through every step, if needed.
What's not so great: Expensive to e-file and deduct cost on return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo tax exclusively for over 10 years. I believe it's the best product out there.
What's great about it: Easy to use, offers lots of help and options.
What's not so great: Nothing I can think of at this time.

Updating Procedure

This was especially true of the Vermont forms - I had to run the update process 3 (or was it 4) times to get all of the wrinkles included in the Vermont form. (And you don't find this out until you press "file" and the "verify" button goes off!!)
Maybe Intuit should offer workshops for states (and cities) on how to improve the taxpayer experience.
What's not so great: Updates aren't alway "up to date"

I have done my own taxes for years thanks to the likes of Turbo Tax. Now it is my preferred company because of its leading approaches and inventions. The efile, the advise, the referral, and the ease of use are all to be complimented in the fullest extent.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, transfers previous years, guaranteed, and reliable
What's not so great: Those who try others will be disappointed
