Turbo Tax Experience

Turbo tax was easy to use, especially the easy step method. However. I also like the feature of being able to look at the individual forms. The "explain this" blocks were also very helpful (for example, explained that I did not need to enter K-1 info if embedded in IRA). These blocks are also helpful in explaining the types of deductions or income that should be entered and where they should be entered.
What's great about it: Ease of use for easy step method, access to individual forms, explain this help
What's not so great: Shoud ask to save document more often

It's easier than you think. You don't really need a tax preparer if you can read and follow directions.

Too many areas where you ask for info so I insert it and later you tell me that part is missing or is inserting incorrectly, even though it showed correctly on the screen. When I typed dates, slashes would be defaulted in but later I had to re-insert putting slashes in manually to finish return.
What's great about it: Refund or payment owed is shown as I go.
What's not so great: State tax return should be free since I already paid for Turbo Tax. Also, more than on State return should be available.

This is my 7th year to use Turbo Tax and It works Great!
What's great about it: Quick and Easy to follow Format!

Helped me find valid deductions

I might not have gotten a refund if not for the Turbo Tax guidance because I would have stopped looking too soon. Turbo Tax tends to be wordy but it's good for the beginner. The Help links are very useful, informative and educational.
What's great about it: Pointed me to the right direction where to look

easy to use

I followed directions to install updates and still the transmission would not work.
What's great about it: instructions and questions easy to use and follow. Easy to look at forms.
What's not so great: E file did not work
