Relatively quick and easy

I have used Turbo Tax for at least 12 years and am somewhat reluctant to try another brand, since it is easy to transfer records from one year to the next using the same brand of software. I've had problems with "errors" or corrections to my return, especially in the income area. I fill in all the information requested, but the error message has a blank space asking for 1040-R information. Since the information had already been entered, the correct entry should have been 0 [zero]. I reentered information from our 1040-R forms and pushed the continue button. Suddenly I owed the IRS over $13,000.00. I could only correct this by going to the view mode. This is frustrating, but otherwise Turbo Tax seems to lead me through the process quickly and efficiently. Filing electronically gets my payments and refunds processed fast.
What's great about it: Easy to enter information
What's not so great: Error corrections can be confusing and very frustrating

Simple Filing

Overall I found it very straightforward. This is the third year I have used Turbo Tax and I will use it again.
What's great about it: well organized, great having info from previous year
What's not so great: took a while to get snswers to some questions

couldn't e-file

Pretty straightforward, although a few places that were not clear. Main problem was that we were unable to e-file because Validation was blocked, even though we repeatedly asked for updates. We finally closed down, rebooted and then the updates came through. But it was a very frustration hour to figure this out. Also, only the Federal printed out, not the state and that took some time to find and figure out. Something more obvious for printing out the state return would be appreciated.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: couldn't e-file, very frustration

Need to include VA property taxes for autos
What's great about it: Importing information from bank,etrade etc.

Turbo Tax 2013 survey review

Turbo tax makes going through the tax process easy and efficient. It covers many questions and covers more than I would have discovered on my own. I feel that Turbo Tax finds the best solution for reduce taxes and completes the process so that taxes are correct and complete.
What's great about it: There were many items that I would not have considered doing the taxes manually even with the publications and tax books
What's not so great: Not applicable
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
