Ten+ years of Turbo Tax

Have been very happy with the software over the past 10+ years, Our tax situation has gotten simpler but I have to do less back and forth through the many IRS booklets and instructions definitely lowering my STRESS level. I will continue to use this edition for our taxes!
What's great about it: User simple
What's not so great: Some questions not well explained in program, had to use "more help" often

Everything was quick and easy importing info from last year's tax return. Seems to be an improvement over last year's versionm which was still very good!

I've found that if you just trust the program and answer the questions as presented to you - you get your return done very well. Trust the program even if you don't understand why it is doing things the way that it is. All will be well
What's great about it: excellent movement through return categories
What's not so great: not easy to get help or contact program people

trouble e-filing

i liked the program up until the point where i tried to e-file and it told me that i had to download update to sent, i downloaded the updates and it still would not send and i repeated this and still nothing. i even tried downloading a third time but there were no updates to download. i wanted to get my returns as soon as possible but had to mail it in so the whole purpose of using the software was a bust for me. i might as well have gone to a tax office and had someone do it for me.
What's great about it: good for someone wanting to do their own taxes
What's not so great: if you want your refund in a hurry you cant because program has bugs that wont let you efile

Turbo Tax is very good in getting and keeping my business paperwork organized. All I had to do was answer questions that pertained to me and the business and Turbo Tax was able to fill out the correct paperwork and make the correct calculations.
What's great about it: Kept Information organized
What's not so great: Was not able to get a refund

I've prepared my own tax filings for 52 years. I've used computer based programs for taxes for 13 years. Turbo Tax has been my choice for 8 of those years,, including the last six - 2008-2013. I expect to use for 2014. My only annoyance with all tax programs is it takes too many steps to get through all the options that are not used.
What's great about it: Confident that taxes are calculated correctly
What's not so great: Too many steps to get through options that aren't used
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
