Great Tax Software Support

I have used TurboTax since 1992 and this year I had problems with K-1 Schedule. Peggy, in Tax Advisor Section, patiently walked me through every section and stayed with me until the form was completed and I understood what it was detailing. Her service/knowledge was simply Outstanding and you are lucky to have her on your staff in Mobile. Go Peggy!!

Excellent and Efficient Program

Although I was not thrilled with the results, it is not Turbo-Tax's fault; but my own. I now know I need to make some personal changes.
What's great about it: Gets it right based on what you tell it.

No easy way to do 2 returns - mfj and mfs - without having to enter all information twice.

If all the forms were the same (Block for block) I would rate this application outstanding. However there is confusion., some do not cross easily. DFAS Retirement for an example 1099

The results were all right. I like that I did not have to update my operating system this year. Please keep it that way. Step by step process is easy to navigate.
What's great about it: Straightforward to use. Could use my current operating system.
What's not so great: Minor errors showing up when getting ready to efile. I finally gave up understanding and proceeded anyway.

hard to differentiate what "I" want or need to print. Can't figure out how to print just the state returns
What's great about it: Saves inputed information from year to year
What's not so great: printed too many pages and unable to just print the State
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Party with TT!

I remember when I first began filing back in the 70's.. I was always such a wreck and would go through the thick instruction booklet with a fine tooth comb to make sure I didn't miss anything. I completely filled out my return 3 times before I was satisfied that I got it right.
When it came time to mail the paperwork, the tradition of waiting until 11:59 p.m. on April 15 developed into an annual ritual. Believe it or not, there was always something of a party atmosphere at the post office!
To be honest, when i first started using Turbo Tax, I filled out the paper forms the same way and then compared --- TT saved me some money and wow! I no longer dread the filing chore.
Filing with TT is almost like a party!

What's great about it: up-to-date; autofill; easy breezy!
What's not so great: I'm the only problem because I procrastinate but that's just another good thing about TT - quick and easy!

2013 returns

A lot of paper used in printouts. Would have liked choices about what gets printed at the end. What's necessary for filing of course, but if I can save some parts in my computer, I don't really need to print out the whole return including backup information. Otherwise it was all very helpful.
What's great about it: mostly easy to follow and fill in. I liked the options for filing and the printouts at the end.
What's not so great: A glitch when clicking on 2013 kept bringing up 2012. Some questions about the nontaxable portions of my pension.
