Made it simpler than last year

I've used TurboTax for the past several years - and I don't know how I would get through this ordeal without it! Everything is listed clearly, checked and double checked, and easily saved in one place. If only I could get my family to do the same with our receipts!
What's great about it: This year's program did a much better job of explaining where deductions were to be claimes.
What's not so great: Affordable care act. It seemed to keep popping up.

A Bit Confusing

Help should be easier to access.
What's great about it: Our personal taxes went very well.
What's not so great: I do my disabled son's taxes and his is very confusing. I could not efile because he does not receive any W-2's.

2013 Turbotax version continues to deliver easy, if taxes can ever be considered easy, and systematic review process. Instructions are intuitive and clear. Works quickly with few hiccups. Downloading updates was painful, however, requiring manual uploading which added another 15 minutes to the process. Also need a means of capturing changes in refunds or other baseline numbers as a result of revenue agency adjustments.
What's great about it: Intuitive nature of program, popup details, ability to move around
What's not so great: difficulty in uploading updates

Comprehensive Simplicity

I have been using Turbo Tax since the 1990's and have never had an issue with it. The old days of moving back and forth checking calculations or having sit down discussions with untrained individuals at 'we will help you with your taxes' businesses are gone forever. I have a high level of confidence in Turbo Tax and since the government finally decided to stop charging me for an electronic transmission of my taxes I cannot imagine going back in time. Thanks. For a well designed and well updated process. Taxes are ridiculous. My hat is off to your CPA's and Programming staff. Good Job.
What's great about it: Ease of Use and Understandable explanations
What's not so great: The entire complexity of the US tax code. Not your fault though

This was 5th or 6th yr to use Turbo tax. I prepared my return, for 2 reaives and for 2 friends. Entry of data took longer than with 2012 version.
What's great about it: I know I will have an accuate return to file with nothing overlooked.
What's not so great: Entering multiple W2's, 1099R's &1099Misc's shoiuld be simpler. Auto show prion yr forms after each entry.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Still the best

Year after year with the ease of linking to past years is confidence-making.
It is annoying to have to read the small print font stuck in a box in the corner of the screen, you can do better.

What's great about it: You set your own pace, take a recess, feel helped
What's not so great: Why the box in the corner and not using more screen area? The tiny print cramped into the box is harder to read.

2013 Turbo review

When the software loaded it supposedly went out and got all the updates. But as I was doing my inputs, the state and local sales tax did not complete at the entry time. It would not fill in that section. At the end - at Federal Review time - it asked to check for updates again and actually did the updates. Then I had to drag the program back to the State Sales Tax section and walk through it all again and this time it completed it correctly. I'm not sure it would have gone back and fixed that had I not walked back through it. Makes me wonder if there were other updates that it got that I needed to force the program through again. Just saying.
What's great about it: the program was well structured and let me in and out, on my own and guided as i chose.
What's not so great: One glitch encountered
