finally finished

I have been using turbo tax since 2009. I like being able to do it myself for a whole lot less then having a professional do it. I like the way the program allows you to go wherever you want or it can walk you through your entries.
I strongly recommend that you have everything laid out on an excel sheet with all of your deductions, business expenses, interest payments, etc. and then it makes it so much easier to go through everything when entering it.
The two things I find difficult are when it only gives you options that don't apply to you, and then the second thing is this year I started to add a business entry for a 1099 and when I realized I had made a mistake, I thought that I had deleted it and tried to start over. But it hadn't deleted in its memory (it was doubling my return amount) and I ended up having to start all over from scratch in order to get it fixed.
What's great about it: I like the way that Turbo Tax walks you through everything.
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to undo something entered incorrectly

Easy to Use, Made Taxes as Painless as Possible

I have used TurboTax for years, and it always does a good job. One year I tried the H & R Block software, but didn't like the layout as well. Thank you, TurboTax, for making a great product!

I have used this software for YEARS and can't imagine doing taxes without it even though I used to. I prepare taxes for the whole family....quickly, easily and with little effort.
What's great about it: It's Deductible alone is worth the price, add in the ease of use, access to explanations, etc. and it is a clear choice.
What's not so great: Error checking is not always easy to correct/see the item that needs correcting.

Overall, it's cheaper than paying a CPA on top of taxes to the government. So, there's that.
What's great about it: Cheaper than an a CPA
What's not so great: Program gets more difficult to navigate each year.

Very disappointed with the hidden costs... extra state price is outrageous...my taxes are fairly simple... it cost me more than done by a professional. NOT USING AGAIN!

Good but

The product is good but the password support did not work at all. I had to change to a different email, bypass my account, and enter my information because the password link never came through. I waited for a day, tried it again, waited a few minutes, and then gave up. Fix that would you please.
What's great about it: easy to walk through
What's not so great: forgotten password email pin never sent
