Very easy

TurboTax is very easy to use. Complicated things in the tax law are laid out and explained in an easy to understand manner. All of the details are covered and you can step through them one at a time to ensure you are getting the most refund possible. I think we've been using TurboTax for close to 20 years. (I can't remember a time when we didn't use TurboTax, it has been that long since we filed on paper.) Despite the lure of free tax preparation websites we have always used TurboTax because we feel that they will stand behind us and they lay out tax preparation so anyone can understand. They make doing your taxes fairly easy - and that's saying something!
What's great about it: Covers all the bases in a step by step manner.
What's not so great: Takes a while but that's the nature of the beast if you want to be sure you are getting your maximum refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good, but...

I have used TurboTax for many years, and generally like the program. I was struck this year by how difficult it is to know where to enter data. Some items have 2 or 3 possible places they can be included, so which is right? Both? In addition, we had some changes we needed to make -- and locating the proper screen for these was a nightmare. Is there a search feature that will search the return in progress for data entered? [e.g., If I need to add an interest payment of $67.73 to another one of $559.57 -- I need to find the page the latter is entered on. Is there a way to search for the $559.57? Or an easy way to get to education loan interest?]
What's great about it: Accurate, I hope
What's not so great: Trouble locating where data is entered

Good. Been using for several years and familiar with it. Makes year to year comparisons easier.
What's great about it: Able to review effects of various entries
What's not so great: At times, clumsy to review going forward and back
Pros: I bought or sold investments

the e-file error message stated that updates were available, yet the program still didn't work after the updates were downloaded.

Frustrated on Cape Cod

I have used TT for many years and have recommended it to my friends. This year, however, there was a lot of confusion about forms that were delayed. I understand TT is not responsible for IRS delays, but there were no good explanations for what was missing. When I went on line and read up on the IRS site and other places, I figured out what I must be missing. I tried to exile about 20 times and it did not work. When I generated an IRS pin, it went right through even though TT said I did not have all of the updates. How can it be April 15th and we don't have the updates. There should have been more explanation.....
What's great about it: Always liked TT before
What's not so great: Delay confusion without explanations
