Rocked My Refund!!

I feel safe using Turbo Tax. It is fast, simple and cheap compared to paying someone else to do my taxes for me. I recommend to anyone to at least try it once. You will never go back :-)
What's great about it: So easy to use
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

OK but still complicated

This was my first time doing taxes. Past years my husband did the taxes. Since the divorce, I'm responsible. Scary. Still had to call Ex to ask questions. Turbo tax is OK unless you have complicated taxes.
What's great about it: walks you through steps
What's not so great: Dont always understand

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and I swear by it. Now, my wife swears by it as well. Great program!

done fast

Good product. I have used H&R block once and was disappointed, didn't use it to file my taxes that year. I then went out and bought TurboTax because I felt my return was usually bigger with TurboTax, and I was right! I threw out the other software and got my biggest return with TurboTax once again that year!
What's great about it: Fast software, easy to understand, if you have any questions simply click the "explain this" and you will get an answer!
What's not so great: The state file costs money.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great application. Use it every year! This year is no different. However, the only bad side, is after the first attempt to import my w-2, it did not let me try again, nor would it try to import my wifes, which is totally different. Other than that, nice job.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: would not let me try re-import of w-2 no matter what I did

2013 Taxes

We moved last year from MA so we had to file for only part of the year in MA. Even though we were asked if we moved during the year and our Federal return included the date that we moved, the MA return automatically includes the full-year's income, dividends, interest, etc.
I had to use manual forms to get exclusions and some of the forms didn't work. Summations, subtractions, etc. had to be overwritten to complete the return.
What's great about it: Federal was fine
What's not so great: State for part-time resident was terrible

Kars4Kids used a substitute 1098-c form and that made it difficult to answers the required questions.
What's great about it: MN filing
What's not so great: Kars4Kids Donation
