Good but at times stressful

Overall a nice experience but some areas not clear enough, specifically how HSA reporting works.
What's great about it: Walks you through it nicely
What's not so great: Links to FAQ's often expired; would prefer Live Help

Good Federal, Poor State

It's a pleasure to use Turbo Tax year after year as it recognizes what needs and can be brought forward. Howver, some tax situations are poorly managed, like Schedule K-1s and their impact on other forms
What's great about it: Picks up info from prior years very nicely; keeps tax form complexity hidden
What's not so great: Non-resident tax forms difficult to proiperly navigate -- poor guidance (referring to GA; Not clear Sch K-1 data distrib

Has gone downhill

This year's (2013) program has become more impenetrable, with more frequent endless cycles. There was no explanation for why this year's state taxes were several times higher than last year's despite comparable levels of income, deductions, and credits and a huge Federal refund due. The printing instructions, when followed exactly, led to an endless cycle of Prepare PDF, Preview, or Cancel, all three of which returned you right back to the same menu. Overall I found this year's version to be far more difficult to cope with than versions from previous years.

Could Not E-file My Returns

After announcing that I had excellently completed everything Turbo Tax would not E-file saying I needed an update. When I tried to update it would not do anything. I tried calling - no answer first and on second try a recording to call tomorrow. Trying to E-file again it said mail returns. When I clicked mail it printed 85 pages and would not tell where to send them. Picking out the 20 or so pages required I had to send them to the address I had for the extension request which I knew was incorrect. I thought Intuit's lines & offices were overwhelmed but the next day the situation had not changed.

Great Product!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and have always found the software to be a great and trustworthy way to submit my income taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Reliable.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Mostly positive experience

Overall as in past years I had a positive experience with TurboTax and will most likely use again next year. The navigation and the help are very useful. My only real complaint is there was something that I had entered incorrectly in the wrong place that I would have liked to be able to just delete. I was unable to figure out how to delete even by going into the actual form and ended up being forced to leave with a $0 entry. Also it was almost impossible to find the place to enter the estimated tax amount that I had paid with my federal extension
What's great about it: Easy to use and covered topics in orderly fashion that was simple to follow
What's not so great: Unable to to delete item that was incorrectly entered, difficult to find entry for estimated taxes paid with extension
