getting other years tax reports

While an asset to doing taxes, the effort of missing steps such as it adding interest if you have to pay, the help re: IRA is still weak, and yet the price for the program keeps rising. There should be a deluxe at $40, without state, why does it ask for skipping state.. If you put your address as texas, then it should skip state automatically, Since I had to pay, it doesn't offer much help to saving for next year
What's great about it: Math seems correct, and having tax tables imbedded is good
What's not so great: Over the years, the "help" from the program is now depending on "others answering questions", this should be reviewed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tx for years and each year I am etremely satisfied with the results. Turbo Tax is quick and efficient. It reminds me of items to look at to make sure I get all the deductions I am due and that I list all income so not to trigger an audit.

2013 taxes

So slow updating the state program that I had to go to bed and resume the next day. For 1040 update I had to go out of the program and down load the updates. Never had to do this before this year. I used a DVD and friends that went online and purchased that way had no issues with updates.
What's great about it: same look and feel as last year
What's not so great: Very very slow (same computer)

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now and it is better and easier to use each year. In addition to the "pros" listed above, this year there were fewer ads for other Intuit products built into the process. Keep working toward making the step-by-step process easier to follow.
What's great about it: easier to find the forms I needed, better help
What's not so great: the step-by-step process is still confusing when you have an obscure form like a 1099-Q

I feel the state program totally messed up, but I don't know how to get into the nitty gritty to change it. I only made $3375. in New Mexico but it said my state income was $85,465. Totally wrong. I'm a nonresident and only have mineral rights in New Mexico. The program was expensive for such a small amount of work. I will probably try to file it myself next year. At least I can get in and put the proper amounts.
What's great about it: Made work fast and simple
What's not so great: Can't get into the state program to make adjustments

I like being able to input my own information and "build" my tax return. I think it gives me a better idea of what affects my tax liability. Turbo Tax works well.

Been using TurboTax since the MacinTax days of the 1980s. I really don't even consider any alternative.
What's great about it: best feature are the running totals (owed/refund) at top of page
What's not so great: wish supporting data worksheets accepted paste-in of multiple Excel cells
