Love My TurboTax

I may have been one of the people who bought TurboTax the year it was introduced. I know I've been using it ever since I learned about it. I used to pay plenty every year for a CPA to do my taxes, and every year they sent me a questionnaire. I answered all their questions, and sent the questionnaire in. Later I'd get my tax forms back. They never asked me a single question, and the only numbers were the ones I gave them. The first time I used TurboTax, I was asked all of their questions and many more. I've always felt as though my taxes were done honestly and thoroughly when I finished.
What's great about it: Asks the important questions
What's not so great: Hasn't learned to read my mind...yet

Better 2013

From all the years of completing my taxes, this was by far the easiest one. The software is much easier and catches everything I need to consider and then some.
What's great about it: Everything was much more simple and easy to process.
What's not so great: No cons this year!

I'd rather do this later after I am less traumatized by the payment!
What's great about it: Easy to use. Quite quick
What's not so great: The extra fee for eFiling with a credit card wa a surprise

The program has gone down hill and is awful

I swore by turbo tax for years, it is now awful and not worth the money. Use other programs that are more user friendly. This program will not even allow you to print out the forms, it has you save a pdf file. They have lost my business. It is so bad that you cannot even write a review without cycling 20 plus times trying to choose a user name it likes.
What's great about it: ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS
What's not so great: DOES NOT WORK, DOES NOT PRINT, CANNOT REMOVE DOCUMENTS

Trouble filing returns

The process of filling out the return is great and after 10-15 years, it keeps getting better and I keep learning how to use it better. But this year, filing the return took days for my daughter's return and for mine. Validation fails, the message says there's an update available, you get the update and get the same failure, I'm running from teh computer, no the disc, the trash has been emptied, the connection is hard wired. It just won't go - - for hours, adn the first time - for days. Please fix this next year!
What's great about it: The whole interview is great
What's not so great: It took more time to file the return than it did to complete it.

electronic file would not go through because of missing down loads... but it took the payment to file!

Shocked on Refund Amount

I plan on using TurboTax again next year. Even though it took a long time to put in my contributions (I had many) it was worth it as I received more than if I had tried to sell them myself in a garage sale.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions and help along the way.
What's not so great: Not all my donated items were listed and it took a lot of time to go through the lists of items.
