I really love turbo tax!

Overall, a great program. The only drawback was that when I reloaded the file after closing it automatically switched to the standard deduction when I hadn't wanted that. Otherwise, very easy to use, etc.!
What's great about it: Very easy to use, understandable, etc.
What's not so great: It automatically switched to the standard deduction without my wanting it!

TurboTax provides an easy to follow, thorough Q&A process that prompts the user so that no legitimate deduction is missed.

This version was easy to use and navigate through. I especially liked the State tax section as for several years now I have wondered why I had to input the exact same data instead of it being copied over from the Federal form. Enjoyed using it.

Finally Made It!

Product works well to gather financial data and complete tax forms without needing to know details of the tax code. Had a problem with a state schedule form and the software was not much help, but the customer service lady talked me through it to get my taxes filed on time.
What's great about it: Love the Carryover of last year's data
What's not so great: Had to call customer service (on April 15th) to work through error in the form.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

most people should be able to work with turbo tax, especially if there are no unusual situations
What's great about it: step-by-step tutorial/walk through preparation
What's not so great: need basic understanding of the tax system to answer some questions

Simple and easy

I had a fairly complex return as the successor trustee of a trust. Turbo tax walked me through all the issues via questions to be answered, and the return was done.
What's great about it: complex tax issues easily solved
What's not so great: none
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Just a couple of complaints

I don't like that it forces you to go through all the deductions before telling you that the standard deduction would be better for you. I know that, but I can't select the standard deduction voluntarily. If you are going through the listed deductions, it also should tell you how much more you need to make it more than the standard deduction.
Other years it has known that Florida doesn't have a state income tax, but this year it kept trying to sell me a more expensive version so I could do state taxes. This needs to be fixed for next year.
Overall it's a good product which makes it easy to do your taxes, but these problems need to be fixed.
What's great about it: It's generally very easy to use Turbotax. I like that you can go step by step or select the topics you know fit you.
What's not so great: Complaint about standard deduction option. It didn't know Florida doesn't have a state income tax!
