Still needs work.....

Wasn't as easy to move around in the deductions and go right where I wanted to go. Also it seemed to duplicate. When it scanned for missing info, it was asking for items I already had entered. Also seemed to not ask as many questions that lead to all the deductions I might have been entitled to.
What's great about it: Seems to be accurate and complete.
What's not so great: Not as easy to "move around" in the deductions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have hesitated to change brand of tax software due to the fact I thought I would not be able to import the last year's return from a different brand. I was shocked when I was able to import from HRBlock to turbo tax. Also, your farm interview/process was awesome! I've used H&R Block software every since the first year it launched and I have always had to do my own farm form. Self employed section is hands down better than HRBlock.
What's great about it: able to import files from previous year from other tax software
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is a great program and we have used it for many years without any disappointments or errors. It is very easy to follow the questions and input the details. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't used it previously.
What's great about it: Easy to use; very accurate
What's not so great: Don't know of anything I don't like

Almost Smooth 2013

Faster state tax completion (yeah), but it was incomplete (boo, hiss). Why wouldn't there be a screen asking me if I have state tax credits?
What's great about it: Most of the necessary forms were walked through
What's not so great: MO-TC form was not completed by walkthrough; I had to manually view and complete.

What's great about it: Comprehensive and provides good wizard and guidance.

Simple, Easy & Painless

Always used Turbo Tax. Always will. It makes tax preparation so much less of a hassle & ease of use improves each year :-)
What's great about it: Easy to understand & use. Explain this helps when something is more complicated
What's not so great: Screen doesn't resize so need to scroll down each time to hit next or continue.. but really not a big deal!
