Turbo Tax is a LIFE SAVER!

I would gladly do an unpaid commercial for Turbo Tax. I have used the program for several years in a row and will never go to another service as long as Turbo Tax is around. I don't have a terribly complicated return but I do itemize my deductions and Turbo Tax always helps me get the maximum return. I simply can't say enough about this fantastic program.
Turbo Tax also makes the E-filing process extremely easy. Keep up the good work Turbo Tax!

Terrible e-file

Tried submitting e file several times. Asked me to check for updates. Installed updates twice within 10 minutes and it still didn't work. Not sure i'll pay for turbo tax again.

What's not so great: Submitting efile

Excellent, until e-filing

My experience was excellent until I tried to e-file. The system told me I had to update, but did not say I had to reboot. After I updated I tried a few times to upload but was unable to. This was very frustrating, mostly because I wait until the last minute to file (I had this problem on the night of April 14th.) The instructions should tell you to reboot after you update. This probably would've been a 5-star review if the instructions were more clear.

Outstanding program

I have used turbo tax ever since its inception for its ease of use and easy to understand instructions and amounts of refunds every year. You're doing great every year in finding and guiding me to properly filed my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions and prefill from last year return information.
What's not so great: Need some shortcut keys for duplicating info to enter on wage forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years and it has improved greatly. My only issues are for the more complicated returns the question and form layouts are a bit confusing and random.. Can be harder to organize the types of deductions, income and expense categories.
What's great about it: Layout was good, even if a little campy
What's not so great: When working with several forms and questions, the flow was erratic.

Filing issues

Upon completion of data input and input of IRS Pin's etc. I was unable to e-file. Said there was an update available. Entered the update but it still would not permit e-file. Tried three times. Finally gave up and went to filing by mail. Don't know if your system will automatically credit my Visa for the e-file charge.
What's not so great: Did not allow e-file

Fine except for the Sales Tax issue
What's great about it: Worked fine generally
What's not so great: no way to add in sales tax, needed to update but it didnot tell me that.
