Terrific Tax Software

I think Turbo Tax is simple to install and easy to use to file your individual or small business taxes. If you use the step by step process, you are asked about every deduction and every income category. The filing of the forms by efile is quick and easy. I have been filing my business taxes with Turbo Tax for over 10 years now.
You are allowed to file more than one return so you can do your sister's return and/or your Mom's and yours. The value for the money is great.
I sometimes file my return by mail and I find that printing the forms waste a lot of paper because of all the other things that print. So I select the pages that I want to print.
The other issue that I am not crazy about is when you stop the step by step process and go back in, it is hard to get back to where you left off.
What's great about it: Easy to use the step by step
What's not so great: If you don't finish the step by step it is a bit hard to get back on track

Long Time Customer

Get it - I have a consulting business and I run two rental properties. I am a rather organized person, so the numbers that need to be entered are kept accurately throughout the year. And that makes life really simple at tax time!
What's great about it: Always easy to use; can't say enough good things about this software
What's not so great: wish the state efiling was free...have to print off the return and enter the numbers in the state's DRS site
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Excellent as Always

Lots of Life changes this year and I thought of taking my taxes to an accountant but I have used TT for years so I decided to try it again. I am glad I did. Their detailed guidance made things a breeze Thanks TT

Turbo Tax is ok

Turbo tax is a helpful service that I plan to use again. However I had a transmission error when I tried to e-file. Even after I updated the software. So I had to take the extra time and mail in my return. I was not very impressed. But I still plan on using it again next year and hope they fix the issue.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax was very efficient and user friendly
What's not so great: I had to mail in my return because e-file didn’t work

Overall A Good Tool

Here are a couple of issues that I found:
- the past couple of years I used the online versoin of turbo tax. This year the disc version was purchased for me. While trying to link this year and 2012, the software was unable to link them, even when I opened the pdf saved from the 2012 year turbo tax filing.
- also at end I ran the "check for errors" multiple times, then I tried to print all of my forms and documents, and I received a message that there were "errors". However I could not find where the errors were. Since I had already run the checks at the end of the fed/state filing steps, I continued with my e-file. The errors were eventually caught prior to efiling, but it didn't make sense at the time.

What's great about it: I liked the step by step detail and ability to move from section to section.

Last Second Filing

Figure a way to move to the next topic without scrolling to the bottom and it will be perfect.
What's great about it: I was able to quickly complete my return
What's not so great: Having to scroll to the bottom of the page time after time
