I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years and the software accuracy and favorable recommendations have always been excellent attribute this is why I buy the software every year. However, searching for help for tax instructions and guidance has always been very tedious and time-consuming, which is a slight negative. Therefore, on a scale of 1 thru 10, with 10 being the best, I would rate this software overall at an 8.5 score.
What's great about it: Accuracy and Favorable Recommendations
What's not so great: Searching for tax instructions and help on tax guide can be tedious

I reviewed the returns several times and got the good to go. When I was ready to pull the trigger TT finally figures out there's no zip code for my wife's employer. Yup I forgot to enter it ... check fundamental data early on.

WOULDNT' EFILE

I go through the whole effort to e file and not print a bunch of paperwork out and go through the hassle of going to the post office and turbo tax says i need to update the program. after doing that three different times i still wasn't allowed to efile even federal.

Easily to follow

Had a complicated return, HSA, Schedule C, 179 Depr., Home Office, Lots of Medical, Energy Credit, SS, Sch A and B, Capital loss carry forward. All the appropriate forms came up. Best year yet. The forms show last years numbers if you used TurboTax for the prior year. Yet the numbers for this year once again in certain cases were entered into a different place so there was confusion as to whether it was working. This has been a problem for many years. You do need to have an understanding of the data, yet 90% of filing taxes is gathering the data. If you use a tax man, he just enters your data into a program. TurboTax takes the pain out of filing, believe me, even with its issues.
What's great about it: Everything worked
What's not so great: Year-over-year comparisons not always match again
