Mostly smooth

Overall the product is very good and simple to use. I wish there was a "form view" that would be other than just moving ahead and saving a pdf of the forms. Sometimes it's very helpful to see the form to understand what is going on.
Also, I file in NJ and NY where it takes me a long time to figure out where to allocate the amount of days I work in NY on the non-resident form. I have to click "edit" on the income copied from the federal form. I would prefer it just ask a more explicit question.
What's great about it: Easy to enter W2 and other income once and have it applied to all returns. Also copying last years data is a time saver
What's not so great: I have to file in NJ and NY. It is very difficult to figure out where to allocate days worked in either state.

Could not e-file taxes

After completing my taxes, the program refused to file my taxes. Kept saying that it needed an update. I updated the program multiple times using the update TurboTax option but it kept kicking me out when it was e-filing. Terrible!!!
What's great about it: none
What's not so great: kept unable to file my taxes

Too Expensive

The cost has been raised... again. First to complete state taxes, then to e-file state. I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years now. Next year, I will be looking at other options.
What's great about it: Easy to Complete.

Taxes Quick and Easy

I used an accountant for several years to do my taxes, and I always had to do more pre-work to prepare for the accountant's questions than he did to fill out my forms. After a couple of years I did them by hand, because I had the time, but now I don't have the time to do them myself, but with TurboTax, the required reading is cut to a minimum, and the time to complete my taxes is greatly reduced. I won't do my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: TurboTax is thorough and guides me through tax issues with ease.
What's not so great: The estimated tax vouchers seem too excessive for our income level. It always recommends more than I end up paying.

2013 E filing-Not So HOT!!

Devoted Turbotax fan for many years. Did fine using in 2013 until the end where there was an issue on some forms not being available to update and the efile process did not go smoothly. I use a Mac and have for years but this year had to totally redo updates, reboot the Mac and then efile. Took a while to figure it out.
What's not so great: Used Turbotax for over 10 years. First year it was difficult to efile.

Made filing taxes easy!

I hate filing taxes...so I love TurboTax. Simple and intuitive, Turbo Tax makes a complex process so much better and easy to follow. The guided navigation and helpful tips and hints are great for those who really need help, but the line by line option is great for those who are more advanced in filing taxes. I could not do without TurboTax!
What's great about it: Step-by-Step, simple and intuitive
What's not so great: Finding specific prior completed items can be a little difficult to navigate
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
